Astels

Astels is a French duo made up of a singer and a multi-instrumentalist, active since the early 2020s. Raised in diverse musical settings, the two artists bring together their childhood influences — funk, jazz and R&B from the 1980s–90s — to craft a musical approach that revisits these legacies with a deliberate sense of modernity. Their EP Lost In A New Era establishes the foundations of their universe and is followed by the release of their debut album The Meeting in April 2025. Between those releases, Astels put out several notable singles, including Lonely (2024), Promised Land (2024) and Drive To You (2023). The duo operates with a self-reliant, well-controlled production ethos while gradually expanding their international visibility through concerts in France, the United Kingdom and various European festivals. With a working method that unites composition, studio and stage, Astels traces a continually developing trajectory in which each release contributes to a broader expansion.
