Naxatras

Formed in the mid-2010s in Thessaloniki, Greece, Naxatras is part of the European psychedelic scene, offering a hybrid instrumental and vocal rock that blends heavy psych, space rock, stoner and progressive touches. The trio develops long, repetitive tracks built around prominent bass lines, blues-soaked guitars and Eastern-tinged motifs, using dynamics deliberately to increase or release tension without abrupt breaks. Naxatras released a self-titled debut in 2015, followed by II (2016), III (2018) and IV (2022), constructing a discography that moves between jam-band-like explorations and tighter compositions. Active on club and festival stages dedicated to psychedelic rock and heavier music, the band tours extensively across Europe and has gradually attracted an international audience drawn to this very organic approach to psych rock. Across studio and live recordings, Naxatras has honed a recognizable sound that prioritizes continuity of mood, controlled improvisation and an overall retro aesthetic without directly quoting any single era.
