Scardust

Born in Ramat Gan, Israel, Scardust took shape in 2013 around singer Noa Gruman and composer Orr Didi, initially under the name Somnia before adopting their current name in 2015. Scardust develops a crossover of progressive metal and symphonic metal, with tracks featuring shifting structures, a prominent lead voice supported by choral arrangements, and songwriting that combines rhythmic intensity, assertive melodies and orchestral touches. The important role given to choirs also stems from the link between Scardust and Hellscore, the vocal ensemble founded by Noa Gruman and regularly associated with the band. After the EP Shadow released in 2015 under the Somnia name, Scardust issued Sands of Time in 2017, Strangers in 2020 and Souls in 2025. Scardust’s trajectory began on the Israeli metal scene, with shows in Tel Aviv and opening slots for Symphony X and later Epica, before a broader breakthrough in Europe. Scardust toured with Patty Gurdy in 2019, recorded the track Concrete Cages with her in 2022, played Wacken Open Air the same year, and supported Blind Guardian on a European tour in 2023. Despite several lineup changes, Scardust has maintained a stable core around Noa Gruman and drummer Yoav Weinberg.
