Boddhi Satva

Born in the Central African Republic and based in Brussels, Boddhi Satva has, since the early 2000s, developed a musical language that sits between house, afro house, deep house and electronic soul, giving pride of place to African polyrhythms, deep basslines and vocals. His trajectory was first shaped in the orbit of Yoruba Records, Osunlade's label, before he founded his own imprint, Offering Recordings, which has supported the consolidation of an aesthetic he describes as "ancestral soul." His productions combine club energy, organic percussion, spiritual textures and the legacy of contemporary African musics without confining themselves to a strictly house format. As a DJ and producer, Boddhi Satva moves between European, African and North American electronic scenes, working in a register where dance coexists with careful attention to atmosphere and the narrative role of guest voices. His career also includes remixes and collaborations with artists from house, soul and African scenes, extending a trajectory that is both club-oriented and transnational.
