Blasterjaxx

The Dutch duo formed by Thom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf, Blasterjaxx, is part of the European EDM scene with a sound centered on big room house, electro house and a more melodic progressive strand. The project took shape in the early 2010s and gained visibility in 2013 with the track “Faith,” which established Blasterjaxx on the festival and mainstage-oriented club circuit. Across their releases, the duo has maintained a massive, direct rhythmic foundation while incorporating vocal hooks, more emotional harmonies and occasional nods to trance or electronic pop. Blasterjaxx has increased collaborations with producers and vocalists from the international dance scene, aiming to create tracks designed as much for live performance as for streaming. In 2018 the duo released the album Perspective, a significant milestone in a discography largely built around singles and EPs. Blasterjaxx also develops its activity through Maxximize Records, a structure tied to their productions and artistic circle, while remaining present on major international EDM stages.
