Poetic Lover

Poetic Lover is an emblematic French R&B group from the 1990s, formed in Paris around four singers: Dré, Little T, Rod and Jay Kamel. Discovered in 1997 thanks to the show Graines de star, the quartet immediately charmed audiences with polished vocal harmonies and an aesthetic inspired by American R&B of the time. Their eponymous debut album, released in 1998, was a massive success, driven by tracks that became cult favorites such as 'Prenons notre temps' and 'Qu’est-ce qui pourrait sauver l’amour'. The group established itself as one of the leading representatives of francophone R&B, leaving a lasting mark on a generation. A second album, Conquête, was released in 2000 and confirmed their vocal prowess, before the group gradually withdrew from the scene. Despite a brief career, Poetic Lover remains an essential reference for the 1990s in France.
