Marco Tropeano

Born in Naples on December 10, 1996, Marco Tropeano developed a broad interest in music early on before gravitating toward funk, jazz and soul. Electronic music became central during his adolescence after he experienced a set by Marco Carola in his hometown; that encounter quickly led him to DJ and to work on his own productions. Trained in sound engineering, Marco simultaneously built a DJ career in Naples’ club scene, playing from the age of twenty while developing his studio work. His sound sits on a spectrum of house, tech house and minimal, with a taste for supple grooves, tight rhythms and a dancefloor approach that remains clear and functional. Marco Tropeano places his work within an Italian scene shaped by Naples’ club heritage, while incorporating more organic influences from Black American music. Over the course of his development, his tracks have been played and supported by several DJs in the house and techno sphere, including Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, Joseph Capriati and Michael Bibi.
