Lisasinson
Born in November 2018 on the Fine Arts campus in Valencia, Lisasinson began as both a graphic and musical project before quickly finding its place in the Spanish indie scene. The Valencian outfit develops a sound between indie pop, melodic punk and DIY-tinged pop, with dry drum patterns, bright guitars and immediate melodies — a mix Lisasinson themselves summarize as “punky pop.” Their songs combine a frontal energy with concise songwriting, often driven by lyrics that address feminist and social issues, notably the trivialization of certain forms of violence and power relations in everyday life. This identity draws on the pop and punk heritage of the 1980s and 1990s, reworked with a contemporary sensibility and a direct tone. Lisasinson’s trajectory has unfolded notably around Elefant Records, a label linked to a significant part of Spanish indie pop, and since the start it has maintained the interplay between a visual universe and short, nervy, melodic songs.
