Nina Maia

Based in São Paulo, Nina Maia is building a career as a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, rooted in the contemporary Brazilian music scene. Before launching her solo project, Nina Maia worked on the soundtracks for several Brazilian feature films, including Todas as Canções de Amor in 2018, for which she participated in a version of 'I Will Survive' alongside Maria Gadú, Iza and Liniker. She also collaborates with Tiê on writing tracks for the Gaya album, released in 2017. Her solo discography began in 2021 with the single 'De Dentro', co-produced with Lúcio Maia, musician of Nação Zumbi. Nina Maia then continued with 'Gosto Meio Doce', recorded with Francisca Barreto, followed by the single 'SUA', before unveiling 'AMARGO' in 2024. In the same year, she released her first album, INTEIRA, produced with Yann Dardenne. In her compositions, Nina Maia makes MPB dialogue with touches of jazz, indie pop and intimate writing, in a format where melody remains central and production seeks a balance between sobriety, rhythmic flexibility and contemporary textures.
