Stormy

Born in Rabat in 1997, Stormy is part of the new Moroccan rap scene with an approach that blends Darija and French, between trap, drill, melodic hip-hop and Afro influences. First spotted by his freestyles spread on social media, Stormy quickly broadened his audience in the early 2020s, notably with the track 'Fratello' alongside Khtek and Tagne, then with the collaborative project Jackpot in 2021. His writing rests on direct phrasing, sung refrains and a flexible flow between raw register and more accessible formats, without leaving the framework of rap. This ability to change texture from one track to another nourishes a repertoire where one also encounters accents inspired by Brazilian funk and Afro rhythms, in an aesthetic designed to combine efficiency and local identity. In 2024, Stormy released Iceberg, his first solo album, marking a new step in his career. Present on stage in Morocco as in France, Stormy accompanies the progressive internationalization of Moroccan rap while remaining tied to Rabat, the city he hails from and which remains a central reference point in his journey.
