ElGrandeToto

Born in Casablanca in 1996 as Taha Fahssi, ElGrandeToto first practised krump before turning to rap in the mid‑2010s. Active since 2016, he quickly emerged on the Moroccan scene with the track “Pablo” in 2017 and laid the foundations of his world with the EP Illicit in 2018. His writing moves between darija, French, English and sometimes Spanish, in a register where trap, drill, grime, afropop and afrobeat influences intersect, with constant attention to rhythms, melodies and shifts of flow. With Caméléon (2021) he broadened this spectrum further, mixing introspective songs, more confrontational tracks and productions that lean toward urban pop. The project 27 (2023) continued that evolution in a more personal vein, before SALGOAT in 2024 confirmed his taste for hybrid formats and tonal changes. Throughout his career, ElGrandeToto has also forged links with other rap and afro scenes through collaborations with CKay, Morad, Baby Gang and Niro, while keeping a strong anchor in Casablanca and in the codes of contemporary Moroccan rap.
