Hindley Street Country Club

Since 2017, Hindley Street Country Club has brought together a collective of studio musicians led by bassist and producer Constantine Delo, in a format focused on live reinterpretations of pop, rock, soul and funk standards. Often shortened to HSCC, the project records mainly in a studio 'live' setup, featuring a regular rotation of guest singers who add varied vocal colors to the arrangements. The project developed initially online with single‑take videos, before moving onto the stage with concerts in Australia and abroad, where HSCC adapts its versions of classics from the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s as well as more recent tracks. Musically, Hindley Street Country Club favors arrangements centered on a pop‑soul groove, melodic guitars and prominent keyboards, sometimes complemented by brass, in a session‑band aesthetic. The musicians alternate between faithful covers that respect the original structures and slightly rearranged adaptations, while maintaining an accessible approach that places HSCC at the intersection of cover band, session collective and touring ensemble.
