David Archuleta
Born in Miami, Florida and raised in Utah, David Archuleta became known at a very young age on American television, first on Star Search in the early 2000s, then as a finalist on the seventh season of American Idol in 2008. His vocal pop, built around a smooth tenor timbre and a frequently melodic range, sits between teen pop, adult pop and soulful-tinged ballads, with occasional inflections drawn from his Latin family background. David Archuleta launched his recording career with the single 'Crush' and the album 'David Archuleta' in 2008, followed by 'Christmas from the Heart' in 2009 and 'The Other Side of Down' in 2010. After a hiatus related to his religious mission in Chile, Archuleta has pursued a more independent path, marked by 'Forevermore' and 'Begin' in 2012, 'No Matter How Far' in 2013, then 'Postcards in the Sky' in 2017, 'Winter in the Air' in 2018 and 'Therapy Sessions' in 2020. Over the years, he has alternated pop releases, Christmas repertoire, projects for the Philippine market, and occasional collaborations, while remaining on stages in the United States as well as in Asia. More recently, Archuleta has also highlighted a more personal writing approach, in a clear and direct pop style where his voice remains the central element.
