Finnegan Tui

Based in London, Finnegan Tui develops a project that sits between folk and electronic music, driven by intimate songwriting and a pronounced focus on the voice. Born in New Zealand and later based in the UK, Finnegan Tui crafts songs where an acoustic folk aesthetic meets ambient textures, slow rhythms and minimalist arrangements, often built around layered vocal harmonies and subtle electronic soundscapes. The project emerged in the late 2010s with a series of singles released online that gradually established Finnegan Tui’s sonic signature, centered on contemplative atmospheres and lyrics influenced by a relationship to landscape and nature. In 2022 the EP Zephyr collected several previously released singles and confirmed an orientation toward indie folk blended with alternative pop and cinematic elements. On stage, Finnegan Tui translates this studio work into variable lineups — from solo shows to more collective configurations — favoring small and mid‑sized venues in the UK and Europe, with particular attention to vocal arrangements and the dynamics between silence, tension and gradual build.
