h3nce

Active on the digital underground scene in the early 2020s, h3nce develops a project that links guitar-driven songwriting with Internet culture. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, h3nce composes and records from a home environment in an entirely DIY production approach that leaves ample room for experimentation. His work crosses indie rock, post-punk, shoegaze and grunge with a raw electronic sensibility, fed by alternative rap, noise and a strong nostalgic dimension, resulting in tracks where saturated guitars, blurred textures and melodic choruses coexist. The single “VICTIM TO MY BRAIN”, released on the American label Broke Records, was a significant step for h3nce’s visibility and clearly established this hybrid aesthetic between independent rock and distorted digital sonics. Through a series of releases on major streaming platforms, h3nce refines a universe marked by introspective atmospheres, a frontal approach to the voice and a taste for simple song structures deformed by sound processing. Initially rooted in online communities, the h3nce project also opens up to the live scene, with shows in venues such as Supersonic in Paris, extending onstage the energy and contrasts that run through his recorded productions.
