Subterranean Street Society

Based in Amsterdam, Subterranean Street Society brings together singer and guitarist Louis Puggaard-Müller, musician and producer Ivo Johan Schot, and drummer Joost Koevoets in a Danish–Dutch trio that blends grunge, folk rock and alternative rock. The band develops a repertoire where narrative songwriting and first‑person lyrics sit alongside saturated guitars, dry rhythms and strong shifts in intensity, moving between restrained passages and rougher outbursts. This aesthetic—acoustic in spirit and electric in impact—relies on a constant contrast between vocal fragility, melodic tension and group energy. Operating from the Netherlands, Subterranean Street Society follows an independent approach and has cultivated from Amsterdam an identity defined by the mix of intimate confession and abrasive sonics. In 2026 the band opens a new chapter with the single Kindness, set for release on 27 March, continuing a body of work centered on direct songs that can be dark at times but remain rooted in a folk‑narrative form.
