Humour is a band from Glasgow formed in 2021, born out of a suspended period when its members started writing and recording songs from their living room. Guided by Andreas’s lyrics, the project develops writing that is both ironic and lucid, with humour often serving as a filter for darker subjects. Their world swings between nervous post‑punk, angular guitars and melancholic melodies, with an attention to detail and a restrained intensity that recall the British alternative tradition. The songs tackle everyday themes with disarming frankness: the disappointment we cause others, the disappearance of a pet, or that absurd urge to talk when you have nothing important to say. Behind their deceptively light name, Humour weaves music that is at once introspective and direct, where tension and fragility coexist, confirming the vitality of a new independent scene emerging from Scotland.
