Bitschu Batschu

Between Vienna, where he grew up, and Bern, where he is now based, Bitschu Batschu is crafting a world centered on trance and the most frontal forms of hard dance. His relationship with trance goes back more than twenty years—a longstanding attachment that still shapes his approach to mixing and performance. In his sets, Bitschu Batschu lets the heritage of old‑school trance converse with dryer, more emphatic rhythms, while leaving clear room for melodic buildups, luminous textures and the continuous energy of the dancefloor. This way of combining marked references from the 1990s and 2000s with a more contemporary tension produces a direct, physical and readable aesthetic without lapsing into mere quotation. Having settled in Switzerland after growing up in Austria, Bitschu Batschu follows a club-oriented DJ path with a sonic identity that favors progression, impact and the memory of classic trance forms.
