Gloria de Oliveira
Born in 1990, Gloria de Oliveira develops a path between music, image and performance, anchored by a German-Brazilian heritage that also threads through her artistic universe. Trained first in singing and piano before studying theatre at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and later visual arts in Hamburg and Paris, Gloria de Oliveira blends these practices in a music where dream pop, cold wave, synth pop and gothic textures intersect, with a pronounced taste for hazy atmospheres, suspended melodies, and voices that border on murmuring. Active under her name since the late 2010s, she released the EPs La Rose De Fer and Lèvres De Sang in 2019, later collected on the Fascination compilation in 2020. Her work also evolves in transdisciplinary contexts: theatre composition, live performance, video production and photography for other musicians. Alongside her musical career, Gloria de Oliveira continues to work as an actress for film, television and radio creation, notably in Germany. This cross-pollination between stage, screen and visual arts nourishes a musical writing that is at once minimalist and cinematic, with Gloria de Oliveira favoring slow, dark and sensually charged forms.
