O.R.k.

Formed in 2014, O.R.k brings together four musicians from different scenes and countries: Australian bassist Colin Edwin, who played with Porcupine Tree, American drummer Pat Mastelotto of King Crimson, and Italians Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari on vocals and Carmelo Pipitone on guitar. O.R.k develops a progressive rock that intersects alternative rock, art rock and touches of metal, with songs built on clear contrasts between rhythmic tension, mobile basslines, angular guitars and expressive vocals. The band released a first album, Inflamed Rides, in 2015, then Soul of an Octopus in 2017, before joining Kscope for Ramagehead in 2019 and Screamnasium in 2022; Firehose of Falsehoods followed in 2025. Over the course of their career O.R.k has shared bills on rock and prog stages across Europe and also toured South America early on. A few guest appearances punctuate their discography, notably Serj Tankian on "Black Blooms" and Italian singer Elisa on "Consequence." From record to record, O.R.k maintains a dense and shifting songwriting approach, where the progressive outlook remains tied to the direct energy of alternative rock.
