Killing

Formed in 2013 on the Djursland peninsula in Denmark, Killing develops a thrash metal rooted in the old-school aesthetic of the late 1980s. The quartet relies on a rough vocal, fast riffs and a strongly marked rhythm section, with songs built around speed, clear breaks and songwriting geared towards stage impact. Killing is part of the Danish metal scene, playing numerous shows in venues and festivals across the country, which has shaped an identity focused on live energy and a frontal sound, without heavy reliance on contemporary melodic elements. After several years of activity on stage, Killing released the album Face the Madness in 2021 on the Mighty Music label, condensing their classic thrash influences into a full-length format. Following that release, the band put public appearances on hold to concentrate on composing new material, before gradually returning to the stage. Killing thus continues to explore a direct thrash approach marked by high tempos, tight structures and a dark atmosphere aimed primarily at fans of traditional metal.
