Amor Satyr

Based in France, Amor Satyr works as a DJ and producer at the crossroads of baile funk, rave music and a club culture open to shifts in rhythm and register. His Brazilian roots are clearly evident in both his sets and productions, with a pronounced taste for rapid percussion, dry basslines and energy build-ups, while avoiding confinement to a single format. Amor Satyr also draws on hip‑hop and dancehall—two references that inform his highly mobile approach to programming and sometimes lead him to include MCs to reinforce the live dimension. Alongside his DJing, he releases tracks, edits and collaborations on his label Wajang, as well as on several platforms connected to hybrid, global club scenes, including HIEDRAH Club de Baile, Boukan Records, Liquorish Records and XXIII. Through these releases and his club appearances, Amor Satyr belongs to a generation of artists who blend Brazilian heritage, soundsystem energy and movement across multiple dance-music traditions.
