Cosculluela
Born in Humacao on Puerto Rico’s east coast, José Fernando Cosculluela Suárez rose in the early 2000s on the local urban scene with a rap rooted in reggaetón, Latino hip‑hop and, later, Latin trap. After his first tracks with Masta Flow and appearances on Puerto Rican compilation releases, he drew attention in the circle of producer Buddha and on projects connected to Don Omar, during a period when his writing alternated between street narratives, clashes and more melodic hooks. He then organized his career around his own label, Rottweilas, affiliated with White Lion, and released El Príncipe (2009), El Niño (2011), War Kingz (2012) and Blanco Perla (2016) following a deal with Warner Music Latina. His trajectory continued with regular collaborations with reggaetón and Latin rap figures such as Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, Wisin y Yandel, Bad Bunny and Arcángel, while maintaining a direct, often dark style marked by dense diction and a steady movement between club tracks, confrontational rap and more sung numbers. In 2023 Cosculluela added El Príncipe 2 to his discography.
