Jordan Ward

Jordan Ward crafts contemporary R&B infused with soul and hip-hop touches, guided by writing that centers on everyday life, relationships, and youthful paths. A native of St. Louis, Missouri who later settled in Los Angeles, Ward first came up through the world of professional dance before refocusing on songwriting and singing—a trajectory that gives his tracks a distinctly rhythmic character. His debut full-length, Valley Hopefuls (2019), positioned him within a network of alternative R&B artists who blend sung melodies, almost rapped passages, and warm production. He followed with the EP Remain Calm in 2021, where his work on vocal harmonies and minimalist arrangements came to the fore, then with the album Forward in 2023, expanded the same year with the extended edition Moreward. On stage, Ward favors a lean setup centered on voice and groove, and is steadily carving out a place on the U.S. circuit of clubs and urban-music festivals.
