D‐Block Europe

Formed in Lewisham, in southeast London, D-Block Europe brings together Young Adz and Dirtbike LB around a British rap nourished by trap, sung melodies and inflections from American hip-hop. The duo appeared in the mid-2010s in the wake of a rapprochement with Jadakiss and the D-Block label, then quickly established themselves on the UK scene with a steady release cadence and writing that blends street narratives, romantic relationships and very melodic refrains. After the mixtape Any Minute Now with Yxng Bane in 2018, D-Block Europe followed with Home Alone and PTSD in 2019, then Street Trauma the same year, affirming a format of tracks often dense, between relaxed verses, autotuned vocal lines and dark but supple productions. The group continues this trajectory with the album The Blue Print: Us vs. Them in 2020, Home Alone 2 in 2021, Lap 5 in 2022, the mixtape DBE World in 2023 and Rolling Stone in 2024. D-Block Europe evolves at the crossroads of contemporary UK rap, touches of Afroswing and a highly legible melodic trap, while multiplying collaborations with artists such as Central Cee, Raye, Clavish, Aitch, AJ Tracey or Dave, on record as on the major British stages.
