Otoboke Beaver

Otoboke Beaver is a Japanese punk quartet from Kyoto, known for its frenetic energy and fragmented song structures that blend blistering speed, dark humour and improbable tempo shifts. Built around Ako, Yoyoyoshie, Hiro-chan and Kahokiss, the band gained an international foothold with an abrasive style rooted in punk hardcore, garage rock and a 100% DIY attitude. Their discography includes several standout releases, notably the mini-album Okoshiyasu!! Otoboke Beaver (2016), the album Itekoma Hits (2019) which propelled them beyond Japan, and Super Champon (2022), a key record that cemented their status as a global phenomenon. From Coachella to SXSW, their reputation as an explosive live act was forged on tightly crafted, intense shows where every song seems on the verge of derailing yet never loses control.
