Quarters

Based in New York, the rock band Quarters formed in 2017 around Ben Roter (vocals, guitar), Jasper Harris (guitar) and Attila Anrather (drums), after several years playing together in high-school bands and self-recording. Long identified as Quarters of Change, Quarters developed a sound that moves between indie rock, pop rock and alternative rock, featuring melodic guitar lines, dense, space-rock-like textures and grooves shaped by a 1970s heritage. The members cite The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, MGMT, Tom Petty and Daft Punk among their influences — reference points that place Quarters in a register both melodic and driven by band energy. The trio released EPs Hey (2020) and New Hour (2021) before signing to 300 Entertainment and Elektra Records and following up with two studio albums, Into The Rift (2022) and Portraits (2024). On stage, Quarters has appeared at festivals such as South by Southwest, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Governor’s Ball and Shaky Knees, and has opened for Jonas Brothers, Bad Suns, Two Door Cinema Club, The Band Camino and Joywave, progressively establishing the band within the network of American independent rock acts of their generation.
