Jude York

Born in Toowoomba, Queensland, Jude York — the stage name of Jeremy Beamish — creates melodic pop with indie-pop hues, songs he writes and often produces himself. His work is marked by direct choruses, piano‑and‑voice ballads and songwriting focused on intimate themes. Raised in a musical family, Jude began singing and performing at an early age and gained wider attention in 2022 with “I Won’t Need to Dream”, which was submitted to Australia’s Eurovision selection. He went on to release tracks such as “Mr Porcelain”, “Cashew” and “All My Friends Hate Me”, which circulated across streaming platforms and social media, and he also featured on triple j Unearthed. In 2024 he released the EP Heartstrings and the single “Those Were The Days”, a danceable pop song built around a nostalgic melody inspired by an Eastern European folk tune. His career has taken him to shows in Europe and the UK, both as a headliner and as an opening act for Dean Lewis, and to festivals including Mighty Hoopla, Sziget and Reeperbahn. Alongside his solo project, Jude York also forms the duo The Beamish Brothers with his brother Benjamin Beamish.
