Paul Heaton brings his sharp-eyed British pop songwriting to The O2 in London on November 7, 2026. Active since the early 80s, he’s built a style that sits between indie pop, pop rock and soul, always driven by melody and a way with everyday detail. From his first years with The Housemartins, he’s been writing songs that sound simple on the surface but carry a real sense of English social life, with irony where it counts.
After expanding his palette with The Beautiful South, Heaton kept moving: solo records, then a long-running partnership with Jacqui Abbott that leaned into warm harmonies and character-led storytelling. More recently, he’s continued to refine that direct, narrative pop approach, including on his 2024 album The Mighty Several. Expect a set shaped by plainspoken choruses, bittersweet relationship snapshots, and that familiar contrast between an easy vocal tone and lyrics that don’t dodge the awkward bits.
