Info

Australian singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin brings her clear-cut songwriting and unfussy arrangements to Albert Hall, Manchester, on 14 February 2027, with guests. Raised in the Blue Mountains and first heard in the duo Salta then the trio Phantastic Ferniture, she set her solo course with the album Don’t Let the Kids Win in 2016, recorded in New Zealand with producer Ben Edwards. Since then she’s toured widely and shaped a sound where indie folk, indie rock and a hint of alt-country sit side by side, voice and guitar always upfront.

Crushing (2019) pushed the storytelling further, songs moving between quiet confession and taut guitars. Pre Pleasure (2022), tracked in Montreal, added weight without losing the directness that marks her writing. On stage, Jacklin leans into that balance: intimate delivery, lyrics close to the everyday, and arrangements that leave space for phrasing and small shifts in mood. Expect a set that draws across her albums, patient in tempo, sharp in detail, and built around that steady voice at the centre.
