On 16 July 2026 at Paral·lel 62 in Barcelona, two contemporary perspectives on traditional music share a stage for the first time: Baiuca and Júlia Colom. He shifts Galician folklore onto the dancefloor with contemporary electronics; she transforms Mallorca’s oral tradition into an open, intimate pop. An encounter that crosses heritage and the present.
With Barullo, his third album, Baiuca establishes a musical language that fuses traditional rhythms and percussion with synthesizers, samples and club patterns. Live, that blend projects Galician memory into new electronic territories, with a pronounced pulse and layers that unfold unhurriedly.
Júlia Colom arrives with Paradís, her second album. Drawing on songs and stories passed down in Mallorca, she expands her palette as a songwriter and crafts a delicate pop that borders on folk and opens toward electronic elements. Her voice, in the foreground, sustains clear melodies and a tempo that breathes.
Together, the set sketches a shared space where tradition and modernity beat to the same rhythm. Ancestral percussion, digital textures and roots-based melodies intertwine to present popular music as a living, moving thing.
