Info
Irieix is an electro-singer-songwriter project centered on electro-pop, Latin music, self-parody, and Catalan sad-boyism. It arose to bring to light the songs written by Lluís Margarit, but above all for “the jajas—everything we do draws heavily on memes and post-humor.” We try to ensure that the songs do not necessarily speak about personal experiences, but rather that we treat the songs from the narrative perspective of a character who almost always is a loser who does not reach his goals. After releasing an EP of church hits and choral vocals, Irieix I, “el Geperut,” arrives—the first full-length album—a blend of songs featuring piano, trombone, piccolos, playful percussion and drum machines, human voices, and a cascade of electronic arrangements.
