Salebarbes

Salebarbes brings its live set to Théâtre Manuvie, 6000 Boulevard de Rome, Brossard, Canada, on February 20, 2027. Formed by Acadian musicians from New Brunswick and the Magdalen Islands, the band draws on a francophone repertoire rooted in Acadian and Louisiana traditions. Built as a collective of singer-songwriters, they trade voices and roles across a sound that leans folk and cajun, with touches of country and rock.

The group first defined its approach on stage before putting it on record: Live au Pas Perdus (2019) captured the concert spark, followed by Gin à l’eau salée (2021), blending original songs with pieces from the traditional songbook, and À boire deboutte (2023). Their live dynamic rests on driving rhythms, close harmonies and the grain of Acadian speech, all carried by clear, accessible song structures. Active across Canadian festivals and mid-size venues, Salebarbes connects festive music, collective memory and a contemporary North American francophone culture. In Brossard, they roll out that shared, rotating-front sound with a set that moves between dance tunes and slower numbers.
