Skip the Use

Skip The Use returns in full force to the stage on 28 January 2027 at La Coopérative de Mai in Clermont-Ferrand. Led by Matt Bastard, the band continues to forge its path between taut rock and electronic textures, with a show conceived for live performance. Their double single WE ARE GOOD / DISTORTER announces a sixth album and sets the tone: on one hand, a track made to be sung in chorus; on the other, a more abrasive electro-punk discharge. This swing between unifying anthems and electronic jolts constructs a set built for sweat and movement.

On stage, Skip The Use plays tension and release, alternating razor-sharp riffs, driving beats and direct choruses. The new songs slot into the band’s flagship tracks like a roller coaster: climbs, ruptures, drops, and relaunches. Matt Bastard’s vocals slip between cutting guitars and pulsing synths, while the rhythm section holds course without letting up. It’s a comeback that marks a freer, more direct phase in their writing, with songs designed to breathe in a live setting.
