Info
Marillion bring their progressive rock to Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, on 20 September 2026. Formed in the late 1970s, the British band first drew attention with Fish and a taste for theatrical staging, shaping long, melodic narratives across Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood. The arrival of Steve Hogarth at the end of the decade marked a new, more introspective phase, from Seasons End to Brave. With the steady core of Steve Rothery, Mark Kelly, Pete Trewavas and Ian Mosley, Marillion have continued to refine their writing on stage and in the studio, combining progressive structures with pop atmospheres, plus ambient and electronic colours. Early pioneers of fan-funded projects, they carried that close link with their audience into later records such as Marbles, F E A R and An Hour Before It’s Dark, built around long-form cycles and narrative threads.
Haunt the Woods join as special guests, opening the night with their own set before Marillion take over.
