Info
On July 2, 2027 at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, Beth Gibbons brings her singular voice to the stage, in a show that traces the line between shadowy electronics and stripped-back songwriting. Known for shaping Portishead’s tense, slow-burning trip-hop since the 90s, she’s also built a quieter parallel path: the intimate, chamber-leaning moods of Out of Season with Rustin Man, and a taste for more adventurous forms, from Górecki’s Symphony No. 3 to guest spots like Kendrick Lamar’s Mother I Sober.
This concert is a chance to hear that whole spectrum in one room, with a focus on Lives Outgrown, her 2024 solo debut: sober, patient songs where alternative folk, muted rock and discreet orchestration leave space for every crack and whisper. Expect a set driven by atmosphere and detail, where the voice stays front and center and the intensity comes from restraint, not volume.
