Info
On March 16, 2027 at Waterfront Hall in Belfast, Imelda May brings Raised On Songs & Stories: the Lock In, a show that draws on her long-running habit of crossing styles without losing her signature voice. Known first for a sharp, 50s-leaning blend of rockabilly, swing and rhythm and blues, she’s spent the last decade widening the frame toward rock, soul and more intimate songwriting.
Expect a set that can pivot from punchy, retro-driven grooves to stripped-back moments closer to folk and soft rock, in the spirit of her later albums and collaborations. It’s Imelda May as storyteller as much as bandleader: songs that hit quick, songs that linger, and the kind of phrasing that makes the room feel close even in a big hall.
