Info
On June 12, 2027, André Rieu will arrive at Royal Arena Copenhagen with his well-known blend of violin, a conducting role, and an orchestral format. He bases it on the Viennese waltz, but places it in a concert that moves freely between Strauss arrangements, glimpses of operetta, recognizable film music, and accessible classical pieces. Rieu stands both as soloist and conductor in front of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, where the great melodies are allowed to fill the room, without becoming solemn.
His shows are built as an evening with many shifts: elegant dance rhythms, brief mood changes, and room for the small moments when the music draws the audience in. There are typically guest singers and a choir on the program as well, and Rieu often uses the contact with the audience as part of the concert's flow. An evening for those who want to hear classical music in a form that feels immediate and approachable.
