Info
On November 22, 2026, at Bord Gáis in Dublin, Anna Lapwood brings her very personal take on the organ to the stage: rooted in classical and sacred repertoire, but always ready to step outside the usual frame. Trained in Oxford and known for her work as a choirmaster, she likes to make the instrument breathe like an orchestra, moving from liturgical tradition to bold transcriptions and film-inspired atmospheres.
Over the past few years she’s also widened the organ’s horizons through collaborations where it can sit next to electronics and pop, and that open-minded energy carries into her recitals: big sonorities, precise touch, and a sense of narrative that pulls you in without overdoing it. This Dublin concert is a chance to hear an artist who treats the organ as a living, contemporary voice, with echoes of her recent recordings from Images to Firedove.
