“Combining krautrock with psychedelia, Föllakzoid creates a sonic experience that feels both ancient and futuristic” — Pitchfork. It is Dominga and her Föllakzoid, an international genre-blurring musical project, that will be heard on December 4 on the Gwarek club stage.

Föllakzoid is the musical project of the artist, musician and director who goes by the pseudonym Dominga, who from the very beginning has been the heart and backbone of this venture. The concept was born on July 7, 2007, in Santiago, Chile, and is currently based in Berlin and New York. Föllakzoid’s musical journey is a space of sonic explorations and trance rhythms based on repetition. From the very first releases—the debut ‘Föllakzoid’ (2009) and ‘II’ (2013)—it earned recognition for blending psychedelic rock, krautrock and elements of electronic music. On subsequent records the artist further integrated electronics and techno influences, expanding the sonic palette while preserving the depth characteristic of her work. She weaves her queer and transgender identity into both the sound and the stage presentation of her performances.

Föllakzoid has collaborated with figures from the alternative scene, such as J. Spaceman (Spiritualized) or Atom™, as well as worldwide tours and festival appearances, including CTM Festival at Berghain, Primavera Sound in Spain, Portugal, Brazil and Argentina, Levitation, Roadburn, Desert Daze and Roskilde.

Karolina Oleś, performing under the pseudonym Olivia, is a DJ, producer and promoter from Kraków. She has been performing for almost 20 years. Since 2013 she has been a resident of Unsound Festival, which invited her to numerous editions in Kraków, New York, Toronto, Lviv, Baku and Yerevan. Since 2019 she hosts her own show on Noods Radio in Bristol. She performs solo and in live format in the project Radiation 30376, which she co-produces with Chino (Artur Oleś). She also plays in the group Morskie Oko together with Steffen Bennemann and Chino. She regularly performs in back-to-back sets with other artists, including Elena Colombi, Charlie, Ron Morelli, Nazira, Dtekk. Her specialty is techno, electro, acid, EBM, new wave and industrial.

She has performed in European clubs: Berghain (Berlin), Tresor (Berlin), De School (Amsterdam), Golden Pudel (Hamburg), Corsica Studios (London), Kaiku (Helsinki), Poing (Rotterdam). She has played at festivals such as Dekmantel (Netherlands), Nachtdigital (Germany), CTM Festival (Germany), Peacock Society (France), Ombra Festival (Spain), WOS Festival (Spain), Digital Tsunami (Lithuania), Krake Festival (Germany), Audioriver Festival (Poland), TodaysArt (Netherlands), Nowa Muzyka (Poland).
