Info
Seasick Steve lands at The Glasshouse - International Centre for Music in Gateshead on March 18, 2027 for a set built on raw, no-frills blues. Known for his gravelly voice and his hands-on approach to sound, he leans into country blues, boogie and blues rock, driven by guitar work that often slips into slide, plus harmonica and stripped-back percussion that keeps everything tight and earthy.
After years spent moving between the US and Europe as a musician and sound engineer, he broke through under the Seasick Steve name in the mid-2000s and quickly became a familiar face on UK stages. Expect a live show that puts the groove first: riffs that feel lived-in, songs that roll forward without polish, and that feeling of a one-man engine room pushing the blues into something rougher and more modern. His long run of records, up through A Trip A Stumble A Fall Down On Your Knees, gives him plenty of roads to take onstage.
