Info
Black Flag return to the stage at The 1865 in Southampton on 4 June 2027 for a full “Evening with” set that’s split into two halves and keeps the focus where it belongs: the band’s catalog. Born in Southern California in 1976 around guitarist and founder Greg Ginn, Black Flag helped shape American hardcore with a sound built on speed, abrasion, and a blunt, DIY attitude that never played nice with expectations.
This current lineup pairs Ginn with vocalist Max Zanelly, bassist David Rodriguez, and drummer Bryce Weston, leaning into that classic combination of jagged riffs, hard stops, and tension that can flip from breakneck hardcore to heavier, slower stretches. Across the night, expect a wide cut through different eras, from early, stripped-down intensity to the more weighty, metal-tinged turns that defined their later records. No openers, no distractions, just Black Flag pushing forward in their own direct way.
