Info
In her new show L’Âge libre, at the Majestic cinema-theatre, Anne Roumanoff casts a mordant eye on contemporary chaos. A Québécoise conflict-management coach, a cynical businesswoman, a butcher trying to become an influencer, or an octogenarian letting loose—she shifts personas with remarkable ease. Inflation, the place of women in the workplace, new romantic relationships, Trump, the presidency, the rise of the extremes… Anne Roumanoff dissects the new codes and the sheer absurdities of a world that changes at breakneck speed. L’Âge libre evokes that moment in life when women liberate themselves from the injunctions weighing on them and begin to wonder what they want rather than what is expected of them.
