Anne Roumanoff
Anne Roumanoff is a French humorist, writer and actress from Paris whose career spans more than three decades. Trained at the Cours Florent, she rose to prominence in the late 1980s thanks to her lively delivery, keen observational sense and her ability to gently lampoon French foibles. Her comedy rests on a skilful mix of social satire, mild irony and clear-sightedness, addressing topics such as politics, relationships and everyday life with a broadly accessible accuracy. Her shows, including Anne Roumanoff et les garçons, Tout va presque bien and L’expérience de la vie, have drawn hundreds of thousands of spectators. At the same time she has made a mark on radio and television, notably with her column On ne nous dit pas tout on Europe 1. Recognisable by her red dress and warm energy, Anne Roumanoff has remained faithful to a popular, intelligent humour, making her one of the most respected and enduring figures in the French comic landscape.
