On 28 April 2027, Sammy Rae & The Friends bring their Brooklyn-built collective energy to Bristol Beacon in Bristol. Fronted by singer-songwriter Samantha “Sammy Rae” Bowers, the band moves like a tight crew: horns up front, rhythm section locked in, keyboards adding color, and plenty of voices joining in when the choruses hit.
Their sound sits at the crossroads of jazz-pop, soul and funk, with flashes of rock and a touch of folk storytelling. Since forming in 2016, they’ve shaped that mix through releases like The Good Life and Let’s Throw a Party, then took it wider on the road, captured the momentum on The If It All Goes South Tour (Live), and stepped into a new chapter with their first studio album Something For Everybody. Expect a set built for movement, sharp arrangements, and that “get down” spirit the band’s been leaning into lately.
