On December 20, 2026, the Soweto Gospel Choir lands at the Casino de Paris with POU ZOT!, a show that foregrounds the collective power of South African gospel and the spirit of Soweto. More than thirty voices, tight harmonies, call-and-response, and that unique way of building emotion without overdoing it: here, it sings of freedom, fervor, and hope, in the tradition of the great South African songs.
The program brings together spirituals and popular classics, with nods to figures such as Miriam Makeba and Hugh Masekela, but also covers that traverse the eras, from Sam Cooke to Leonard Cohen. Carried by a highly physical energy, the concert also pays homage to Nelson Mandela's legacy, between memory and celebration. An evening when audiences come as much to be swept away as to hear what these voices tell, together.
