Info
Akeem Ali brings The Texture Tour to Vancouver on October 22, 2026, at Fortune Sound Club, with a show built around his theatrical, Jackson-born Southern rap. His writing stays measured and sharp, but the delivery plays with character and timing, like he’s staging each verse as much as spitting it. Musically, he blends contemporary hip-hop with a warm, retro funk and soul palette that nods to an imagined 1970s nightlife: rounded basslines, smooth grooves, and beats made for switching between swagger and storytelling.
Known for turning performance into part of the music, Ali’s world leans into alter-ego energy and cinematic references, pushing the concert beyond a straight run of tracks. Expect a set that moves between rhythm and atmosphere, where the flow locks in with the bandstand vibe and the punchlines land like scenes, not just bars.
