On October 13, 2026, at Kraków's Klub Kwadrat, Richard Bona arrives with the Richard Bona Quintet project. The Cameroonian bassist and vocalist, a Grammy winner, has for years been building his own language between jazz and African traditions, with a sense for melody and rhythm that naturally travels from Cameroon to Europe and the Americas. On stage you hear not only the virtuosity of his bass playing but also singing and compositions in which jazz harmonies meet alternative pop, fusion, and pulsing, danceable energy. In this lineup, Bona leads the band through material balancing Afro beats, Afro pop, Latin motifs, and flamenco, and he also leaves plenty of room for improvisation. He is joined by Michael Lecoq on keyboards, Nicolas Viccaro on drums, Ciro Manna on guitar, and Alexandre Herichon on trumpet, so a concert based on dialogue, groove, and dynamic shifts of mood is shaping up.
