Info
Föllakzoid were formed in Santiago, Chile, in 2007 from a session of improvisation lasting more than two hours. Growing up in the orbit of heavy psychedelia and krautrock, over the years Dominga García-Huidobro's band has tempered every rough edge, flirting with minimal techno and weaving improvisation with hints of Andean music. An out-of-sequence discography (the self-titled debut, then II, III, I and V) well conveys their logic: never linear, hypnotic. Among the studio collaborators are producer Uwe Schmidt (Atom™/Señor Coconut) and J. Spaceman of Spiritualized; they have releases on Sacred Bones Records, the New York label they share with Zola Jesus and Pharmakon. Live they are something else again: sound waves repeated to the point of trance, performed on stages such as Primavera Sound, Roskilde, Roadburn and Desert Daze. In December 2026 they will perform at the Baumhaus in Bologna.
