From North London to the north side of Dublin, JD Reid is a razor sharp DJ and producer blending genres like hip-hop, jazz, dancehall and grime.
His long-running EDITS series is now eight volumes deep, flipping carnival classics and grime instrumentals into DJ tools that have been championed by the likes of Bicep, Hudson Mohawke and Joy Orbison. On the production side, he is the man behind Mabel's "Finders Keepers," and has written and produced for Mahalia, Celeste, Sinéad Harnett, Kelela and Kojey Radical, alongside collaborations with slowthai, Ghetts, D Double E and Novelist.
We remember Girl Unit's recent set at CC dripping with JD Reid edits, and we have been waiting for the right night to bring him over ourselves at Yamamori Tengu on 11/09/2026. From running his own label and night, Baby Gravy, to playing at Fabric, Boiler Room and Drumsheds, we are buzzed to have him on the Tengu soundsystem.
